How Pallet Freight Delivery Works

Ordering media pallets or book pallets? Pallets travel by freight truck. Your delivery address, pallet quantity and unloading needs determine the quote. Here is how to choose the right options and prepare to receive your order.

1. Get a quote for your actual delivery address

Use our pallet freight calculator to choose your products and quantities, enter the full delivery address and compare the delivered cost before adding your order to the cart. No account or email is needed to calculate freight.

Use the address where the pallets will arrive, even if your billing address is different. The freight service checks whether the delivery location is residential. A business operated from a home may still be classified as residential.

2. Choose the unloading service you need

  • Loading dock or forklift available: You may not need liftgate service if your equipment and receiving area can safely unload the delivery truck.
  • No loading dock or forklift: Keep liftgate service selected. A liftgate is the truck’s platform that lowers the pallet to ground level.
  • Residential delivery: Our residential freight quotes automatically include the required liftgate service.

A liftgate lowers freight from the truck; it does not mean the driver will carry the contents inside or move the pallet to your storage area. Plan how you will move and store the inventory after unloading. Contact us before ordering if you need special placement or inside delivery.

3. Decide whether you need a delivery appointment

Select the appointment option if you need the carrier to call and arrange a delivery window in advance. Appointment service and liftgate service are separate options. An appointment window is not a guaranteed exact arrival time.

At checkout, confirm the delivery address and freight service match the options used in your estimate. If several services are listed, check “More shipping options” for the liftgate and appointment choices.

4. Compare the full cost before paying

The cart shows the product subtotal. Pallet freight is added at checkout. The calculator estimate helps you compare options before reaching that step; confirm the final order total before payment.

Quoting two or more pallets together may lower freight per pallet, but compare the actual quotes for your address. Automatic freight quotes support one to six pallets. For seven or more, call or text 937-672-1143 and ask for Angus.

Our DVD, Blu-ray and video game boxes include free shipping. When boxes and pallets are ordered together, freight still applies to the pallets.

5. Prepare your receiving area

  • Provide a phone number where you can be reached about delivery.
  • Make sure someone can receive the shipment during the arranged window.
  • Plan a clear unloading area and check that the delivery truck can safely access the location.
  • Tell us before ordering about a long gravel drive, narrow entrance, gate, steep slope or other access restriction.
  • Check the product’s listed pallet weight and dimensions, and arrange suitable equipment and space.
  • On arrival, check the pallet count and visible condition. Photograph any damage and record shortages or visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing. Contact us promptly if there is a problem.

Handling time and freight transit time are separate. Check the current delivery estimate when ordering, and allow for carrier scheduling. Transit estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates.
